What Is The Cause For Scar On Head?

Hello, I have an old scar on the back of my head from about 10 years ago. Recently it started to hurt very bad. Now it hurts to brush my hair and I now also have dandruff. Why has my scar randomly started to hurt? Is the dandruff and scar sensitivity related?

Hello friend,

Such kind of scar which you are talking about and which has started hurting you suddenly is unlikely to be a scar.

It might be some skin condition which really need evaluation and that can be better done on visualizing the lesion.

Dandruff is an easily treatable condition . you may use any anti dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole 2% available in market.

i will advice you to consult a dermatologist and later if you wish you can consult me back once diagnosis is made.

stay healthy.
