What Is The Best Treatment For Eczema?

I m off work for a couple more weeks, cause of my eczema. It s on my first finger on my left and my thumb on my right hand. It s severe that the layers of skin is coming off. Down to the second knuckle on finger and most of my thumb. It s still so itchy but the Dr. said only time will heal them. Is there nothing else to do?

Hi,

I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected areas twice daily along with a frequent and regular application of a moisturizing cream. Also, take antihistaminic like tablet cetirizine. Keep your hands moisturized and avoid chemicals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
