GGT or Gamma Glutamyl Transferrase is an enzyme present insidde the liver cell and is usually released following damage to the cells. It is known to rise in a variety of conditions, the commonest one being after a bout of alcohol/chronic alcohol intake. You need to quit drinking if you are, and quit smoking as well as these two habits are very dangerous. Have you done your other Liver enzyme tests. You will need to consult with your Doctor regarding various other possible causes if you haven't drunk alcohol.
