What Is Causing Pain And Discharge From The Belly Button ?
Hi, my name is Ashley and I am 18years old. There has been pain by my belly button for the past couple of days. I thought it was a Hernia but I m not sure. I woke up this morning and there is fluid and a little bit of blood coming out. It has a weird odor too. Do I need to see a doctor? Can you predict what it is?

THe description looks more of a ruptured abscess rather than a hernia. It might get more infected if not treated well. I suggest u meet a surgeon for dressing and treatment immediately

pain in the region of the umbilicus can be due to various conditions like infection, hernia, diverticulum etc,
fluid from the umbilicus means that it has a fitula or a tract which is opening at the umbilicus. however to be sure a clinical thorough examination with ultrasound is necessary.

hey ashley , u need to get it checked.Start a course of an antibiotics soon as it can be the infection.Go for a abdominal scan and then seek a surgeons help
