Cardiovascular disease encompasses a whole subspecialty of Internal Medicine that deals with diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the heart and the blood vessels of the body. Heroin brings lots of risks to the health, but common ones are infective endocarditis, septic thrombosis, abscess and even death from respiratory depression.
