What Does This Scan Result Indicate?

Hello Doc,

I need few clarifications, Details are : Endometrium is thickenned measuring 1.5 cms. Uterine cavity is empty. Uterus measures transverse 6.0 cms. Length 9.4 cms A.P 4,2 cms. Are these size normal or do I have to be worried of PCOS or any other disorder.

Please suggest, Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I can comment better if you can also furnish the details of the ovaries and tubes. As far as this sonogram report goes, uterus is normal in size and the thickness of the endometrium is slightly more and thus suggestive of enhanced estrogen activity. To diagnose PCOD, one would need additional details like presence of multiple follicles and cysts in the ovaries, hormonal imbalance as seen in a complete hormonal profile, clinical picture etc. Hope you find this information useful Wish you good health.
