What Does The Low Alt(gpt) Of 25 And The High Of 108 On Ldl Direct Signify?

I am a 56 year old female, 120 lbs, 5'4". These are my recent lab results, Triglyceride 103 mg/dl, cholesterol 181 mg/dl, ahdl 58 mg/dl, calculate ldl 102 mg/dl, albumin 4.3 gm/dl, total protein 7.7 gm/dl, ast(got) 22 u/l, alt(gpt) 25 which states it is low?, alkaline phos 91 u/l, total bili0.47, direct bili 0.11, indirect bili 0.36 but the ldl direct is showing 108 which is stating it is high. So I guess my question is what does the low alt(gpt) of 25 and the high of 108 on ldl direct signify? What steps should I take to correct?

Hello,
since you mentioned no medical issues, I gather you're healthy. For a healthy 56 year old female your chemistry panel sounds great! Your ALT is perfectly fine - no problem at all! The lipid profile is evaluated together with your blood pressure, whether you smoke or not, if you have diabetes etc. If you have uncontrolled stage II or above arterial hypertension and you smoke or if you have diabetes then your LDL could require intervention. If none of the above is true then you don't have to correct anything.
Maintaining a healthy body weight and engaging in a regular mild exercise program - as judged appropriate by your doctor - is the natural way to go.
