What Does The Following Endoscopy And CT Scan Report Indicate?

Sir,I am from INDIA.
It is found in endoscopy report that,in esophagus sub mucosal lumen stenosing lesion seen from 21-24 cms.Extrinsic compression.GE junction is normal at 36cms.
It is also found in CT scan report that there is a soft tissue mass lesion seen in subcarinal region,causing significant mass effect over mid 1/3 segment of esophagus.
Please tell what is the main cause and what is to be done?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the Ct scan report is as follows:
There is a mass in the sub-carinal region.
Sub-carinal region is present in the mid-chest.
This mass is compressing the esophagus and thus causing the mass effect.
Sub-carina is the site of lymph nodes and ttheir pathological conditions, soft tissue growths etc.
The exact nature of the mass lesion can be detrmined by aspiration and biopsy of the lesion.
Appropriate management can be planned after relevant investigations.
