What is this biopsy results means? ' Intra Abdominal Tumor; Fragments of Firocollagenous and Fibroadipose Tissue with a Typical Cells seen suspicious for Lipoblast on a background of Acute and Chronic Inflammation with Microabscesses and Granulation Tissue Formation. ? Thank you. Anna

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The biopsy of the intra-abdominal mass shows presence of collagen, fibrous tissue, inflammatory cells, granulation tissue and abscesses.
along with these normal structures and cells, there is presence of atypical cells which are suspicious of being lipoblasts.
Lipoblasts are immature adipose tissue cells or fat cells.
Presence of these cells are suggestive of malignant tumor of adipose tissue.
You need to consult your treating doctor for further management.
