What Does Shadow In Lunch With History Of Lung Cancer Indicate?

I went to the doctor to get tested for pneumonia and they found a shadow on my lung. I went back for a follow up and they dont believe its pneumonia because they dont hear any fluid in my chest. I have been getting hot flashes. My mother has a rare lung cancer.

What could this shadow possibly be?

Since your x ray is showing a shadow in your lungs and your mother is having lung cancer and it s also not pneumonia i will advise u do a CT scan of chest with contrast. If any space occupying lesion is found in CT then to do biopsy from that to rule out malignancy.
