What Does Right Perihilar Infiltrates Shown In X Ray Mean?

Dear Dr.,

My fiance is a 30-year-old guy who neither drinks nor smokes. He's suffering from dry cough & chest pain. An x-ray indicated right perihilar infiltrates. What does that mean & what treatment does he need?

Thank you and best regards,

Rita

Welcome to Health care magic.

Your x-ray report suggest that there right peri-hilar infiltrated ( collection with in the alveolar spaces )
This collection could be due to localised infective / inflammatory reaction.

This is also called as pneumonic patch - in common language.
This can be treated with a course of antibiotics. Yes you heed no get treated or else it may complicate / increase.

Good luck.
