What Does "sperm Count-90 Million/ml And Motility-10%" Suggest?

Hi doctor. My sperm count is 90 milion/ml, spermatozoids of normal shape and size are 10-15. The motility:10 and resting are 74-75. Please tell me if I have good conditions for getting pregnant my wife, and if not what should I do?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Your sperm count is normal, but the motility ( the percentage of sperms that moves with a normal speed and pattern) is on a lower side. You may experience difficulties while trying to become a father.

You can consult an infertility specialist and look for any underlying causes like varicocele which can cause a similar clinical picture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
