What Does Majorly Clot Associated Periods Signify?

I have a question regarding my menstrual cycle. My periods have always been heavy but over the last several years I ve noticed the majority of my period is filled with large clots. I m beginning to think this is not normal and could be something more serious. Any suggestions on what could cause this?

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
menstrual blood flow which is normal clots inside the uterus and as it comes out it is digested to thin blood.
if you are having clots it means that the blood loss is more than normal.
you should undergo tests for these. Else heavy flow will leave you anemic.
thanks.
Dr Bhagyashree.
