What Does Hepatomegaly And Heterogeneous Pancreatic Echo-texture In Ultrasound Indicate?

Hello doctor,I had done a USG of whole abdomen as i was suffering from mild stomach and back pain from last few days.Result was HEPATOMEGALY WITH GENERALIZED GRADE I FATTY CHANGES AND HETEROGENEOUS PANCREATIC ECHOTEXTURE.
Please suggest me and give suggestion for the next procedure.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Fatty liver is a common appearance in many people but if your liver function tests are elevated then you need to take care of yourself. The heterogeneous echotexture of pancreas points towards getting certain pancreatic enzymes tested. Heterogeneous pancreas may further be evaluated by CT scan as ultrasound is not the best method of imaging the pancreas.
