What Does Benign Essential Tremor From MRI Mean?

For the past year and a half I have been experiencing periods of lightheadedness and dizziness that sometimes last for days at a time and come and go. I have persistent shaking hands and infrequently have the feeling that I have to urinate but sit there for up to 15 minutes but just can't go. Sometimes when I have these dizzy feelings my vision becomes almost tunnel like. I have never passed out to my knowledge but I just feel like I'm going to. I also have what I can only describe as wavy lines in my peripheral vision. I used to be in to all kinds of dancing which required me to have excellent balance and now I sometimes find myself off kilter and frequently trip over nothing. I've had an MRI which has come back normal and have been to see a neurologist who did a 2 second neuro exam, glanced at my chart, said that I have benign essential tremor and walked out of the room. He never checked my balance and didn't even ask me how long I had been experiencing these symptoms. I'm a lab technician and this is affecting my ability to do my job. It's not confidence inspiring when the tech that's drawing your blood is shaking like she's nervous about doing venepuncture.
