What Could The Cause Of White Patches Which Started Form The Neck And Spreading Towards The Shoulder ?
hello doctor , my name is rahul and i am 24yrs old. Basically i belongs to delhi but from 1 year i moved to mumbai. My problem is that on my neck there are few white patches of about 2cms and they are moved upto the shoulder . I gone to Dermatologist in mumbai he says that these patches due to humid enviornment of mumbai. Plz doctor help me out because these are inceresing. Help me out plz.

yes it is because of change in environment,,your body immune system will itself adapt that,,no need to worry .avoid harsh sunlight and contaminated water.drink atleast 12 glasses of water every day ,it vill help you.

Multiple white patches around neck and Shoulder..,
could be PITRYIASIS VERSICOLOR..,
it is fungal infection ...commonly seen in individual...,
who frequently change of enviroment..,
So follow this treatment..,
1) Apply Selenium Sulphide lotion on patches..daily 2 times.,
2) Tab Fluconazole 150 mg weekly once for 6 weeks.,
3) Miconazole cream on affected part 2 times daily..,
after washing of Selenium Sulphide lotion...ok....good luck.,

I find this answer helpful
it looks like a fungal infection called pityriaisis versicolor, caused more so coz of hot and humid environment. nothg to be worried abt, with oral and topical antifungals u shud be fine
