What Could Tender & Painful Collar Bone With Lymph Nodes In Ear Suggest?

For a while now I have noticed that my right inner notch of my collar bone has been slightly tender. Over the last week or so, it has become increasingly painful to the touch, and even feels funny when I am not touching it. I recently had a lymph node by my ear on the same side swell up rather large (with no other symptoms), but it went down (still not completely gone, but non-tender. I try to palpate at my collar bone but I am overweight and it is hard to determine how swollen it is or where the actual pain is coming from. It almost seems to be behind the bone itself. I am 37, 5'7, 220 lbs. I have had a spinal fusion and gall bladder removed in past year.
