Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If she is intubated and in a coma then of course she is in great danger, condition is critical. To create an idea on how things could progress then one must learn the cause. Appendix surgery in itself causes neither epilepsy nor coma. It is unclear how old is she. If it is an adult we are talking about then it would be unusual for epilepsy to appear all of a sudden without a cause. In an adult a brain lesion like stroke should be searched through brain imaging by CT or MRI. You do not provide any info on what tests the doctors have done and what cause have they suggested. If no one told you that you should speak to them and ask for more information. Otherwise it is hard to provide an opinion with so little info in our hands I am afraid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unfortunately, when a person doesn't wake up after surgery, serious complications during and after surgery may have happened. These include stroke, brain bleeding, etc. So, these conditions are actually dangerous. Brain imaging such as CT scan or MRI are necessary to understand better the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
