What Could Cause Painful Sex?

Hi, I've been on several different birth controls now and ever since I've been on them I've experienced painful sex, and now I'm on Implanon and I'm still experiencing painful sex but now an odorless discharge and itching, I've only been on Implanon a few months now. Is this normal?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that infection in the genital tract can cause painful sexual intercourse. I will suggest you to have a course of antibiotics for 10 days. Also Zerodol p for 5 days, also, a thorough examination of internal organs is suggested.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
