Hi There, I am on Trigesterel for about 2 years now. I started with the red pills on Sunday thus I took 4 red pills already and still no period. I can also mention that I stopped taking Paxil (10mg) 22 days ago.
Can this have an effect on my period? Or might I be pregnant?
Antidepressants can affect your menstrual cycles but since you have stopped the drug almost a month back, the effects of the drug on your cycle may be minimal.
Delayed or irregular periods can occur when the contraceptive pills are missed or not taken regularly at the same time of the day.Other reasons could be due to hypothyroidism or insulin resistance.
Kindly check your thyroid tests ,body mass index and blood sugar levels to rule out any hormonal imbalance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
