Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My ex recently had a major heart attack, I just found out yesterday he actuallt took at least 16 10/500 pills thru the day from about 8:30 am to 10pm....this shocked me as he is prescribed 6 a day. Can this kind of use cause a heart attack?? I dont know how long this has been going on!? Im sure he is addicted and also takes zanax. and has for almost 2 years...was healthy as a horse before. a little back pain but thats all.
Respected Madam Thanks for your query. It is not clear from your query that "What this 10/500 pill is?" Heart attack has many mechanisms. Most common of them is total occlusion of one of the blood vessels supplying the heart muscle by a clot. There may be a Total occlusion by progressive accumulation of cholesterol. There may be a sudden spasm of blood vessel. There may be a sudden increase in workload of muscle being supplied by a partially narrowed vessel. There may be a fall in blood pressure leading to decrease supply in area of a partially narrowed vessel. Hope that helps. Sincerely Sukhvinder
