What Could Cause Absence Of Heart Beat Of Fetus?
I am now 13 weeks I was 12 weeks when this was happening. I went to the hospital for some spotting and my cervix was check and baby heartbeat taken and everything was fine. Baby heartbeat was 160. I went back the next day from spotting and it was brown but they checked my cervix again said it was a cm open and they couldn't find my baby heartbeat on ultrasound. I went back the next day to a regular appt and was told that my cervix was still closed and looked fine but she did not try to find a heartbeat. They told me to have a d&c but I have been waiting a full week after them telling me my baby was dead. I would like to know if this is normal to wait to have a procedure and could there be a mistake with not finding the baby heartbeat?

If heart beating in this age of pregnancy are not present and you have had spotting with open cervix ,this mean that your pregnancy haven't had good development .
Hence follow yours doctor advice and have D&C .
