What Could Be The Reason For White Bumps On Back Of Tongue Will Swollen Throat?

I'm getting over the flu. I started with the fever, body aches, etc on Christmas Day. That lasted three days. I'm mostly over the upper respiratory infection but am still coughing some. I developed white bumps on the back of my tongue yesterday. My glands feel a little swollen and there is no pain in the throat. Should I be worried? Do I need to have this checked out?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The little swollen glands that you are experiencing are probably due to the infection (most probably due to viral fever).
These glands need to be examined.
Fine needle aspiration is an office procedure in which cells are sampled by using a fine needle.
The cells are aspirated, spread on a slide, stained and then examined microscopically.
This investigation will determine the origin, character and nature of the lesion.
The nature of the swollen glands will determine the cause of gland enlargement.
Reactive change is the most probable cause of the gland enlargement.
The white spots in the throat may also be related to the infectious process.
You need to consult your physician for clinical examination, relevant investigations and management.

Thanks and take care
