Hi my 17 year old daughter noticed a rash down the left side of her back this morning. Extending from below the shoulder blade to just below her waist line. Confined to left side. No other symptoms at all. She says she had a similar rash under her chin about 2 months ago that just cleared. She is otherwise v healthy, no medication at all. No allergies, or hospital admittance. Congenitally paternal grandfather type 1 diabetes, Shingles episode diagnosed on right abdomen 4 years ago. But this is a rash and no blisters or associated pain etc
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of rashes which seems to be due to an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in terms of detergents, food, environment.
I would suggest you consult dermatologist once and get allergy testing done to find out etiologic agent. Till then drink plenty of water and avoid application of anything chemical to rashes. Keep them away from sun exposure. Apply aloe vera gel.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry
