What Could Be The Reason For Having A Bulky Cervix?

I had a CT scan last thurs as I had fallen down the stairs, and it reported all ok except that I have a bulky cervix. I had a relationship with a Consultant Obstetrician a year ago, and during our intimacy he remarked on feeling something strange internally - presumably my bulky cervix. I have 2 children, have been sexually active for 35 years, I am post menopausal, have never had an STI, thrush or any problematic smears

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

sometime after intercourse there can be cervicitis which give bulky feeling or there can be nabothian cyst which can be diagnosed by per speculum examination and it is not harmful and usually no need to do anything and as you say that pap smear is normal which rule out infection and cancer.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
