What Could Be The Noise From Back While Taking Deep Breath?

I recently fell down a flight of stairs and suffered from a broken tailbone and a compression fracture to one of the thoracic vertebrae. Ever since, I periodically hear a loud popping noise coming from my back...if I take a deep breath or stretch . Are these noises coming from the bone...or from neighboring tendons/muscles/etc.? When I asked the orthopedic doctor, he brushed off my question without answering it. I ll be following up with a new doctor next week and am wondering if I should be concerned about these noises...and whether I should bring them up with the new orthopedic doctor?

Hi,

According to me, if there is noise while taking breath after trauma it seems there might we small rib fracture. It is better to get X-ray done.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
