What Could Abdominal Pain, Fluid Leakage And Bleeding From Belly Button Indicate?

I started having pains in my stomach and belly button last week. My belly button started leaking fluid and yesterday it was bleeding red blood down my stomach. Today it is just bleeding slightly, but all day. I had an abnormal pap a few months ago and I'm concerned the two are connected.

Hello,

Pain and bleeding from belly button is likely to be due to persistent urachal cyst / sinus. I suggest you to consult surgeon for clinical assessment and thus management. Abnormal Pap smear needs to be followed by repeat Pap smear and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
