I am 18, sexually active with one longterm partner, and to the best of my knowledge we are both clean of STDs since the last time we have been checked.

my problem started with a yeast infection. i took an oral antibiotic and it went away. my doctor told me to get my partner diagnosed as well so that i would not get it back. when he called his doctor the doctor told him that passing back a yeast infection is very rare and if he was worried about it all he would have to do is put monistat on his private area.

its been a few weeks since then and now i have some of my old symptoms back with a few new ones. those symptoms include at this moment, an occasional itch, yellowish or whitish discharge, mild soarness and the scariest symptom being small bumps along the inside of my vagina, and most recently a faint fishy smell.

what might these symptoms mean, and what other vaginal problems may be the cause of them?
