What Causes Vomiting And Sluggish Bowel Movements?

I turned 40 3 yrs ago. I have gained 30lbs over the 3 yrs. I eat healthier than ever and am always on the move. I have seen my Dr. about the weight gain. He tested my thyroid because after a bout of the flu(vomiting) for days I still gained 5 lbs. I had a Hystorectomy 6yrs ago. I have trouble with bowel movements Could either of these be part of the problem?

Hello,

Sluggish bowel movement may lead to Vomiting seen in paralytic ileus. Other causes are like adhesions or outlet obstruction or infection etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please get it done ultrasound abdomen, stool examination and upper GI endoscopy.

Eat high fibre diet may useful.

Use tablet ondansetron.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
