Hi, I am a 21 year old type 1 diabetic female on Implanon birth control since March 2010 and do have a boyfriend I am sexually active with. We don t use any other protection due to the fact that I have been told by several doctors that I absolutely can t get pregnant on Implanon. My concern is that I have been having a period, except I ve filled my DivaCup and overflowed 2x today and it s very runny and watery. It also doesn t smell like menstrual fluid; it smells like a load of fresh blood (I hunt and clean my kills, that s the smell I m talking about). I have awful cramps, and am wondering if I should be concerned. I ve never had a period like this, and was told with Implanon I won t really get periods anymore. Should I see a doctor or is this normal on Implanon?
