What Causes Underarm Pain In A Breast Cancer Patient?

Hello.
My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and has undergone two cycles of chemotherapy. She is about to have the third cycle and has been feeling pain in her underarm next to the breast in which the cancer was found. The first biopsy showed that the cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes. What may this pain be from?
