What Causes Swelling And Tingling On The Inside Of The Cheeks?

I have swelling and discomfort in one of my cheeks. I just recently started using a mouthwash and this didn't happen until after that. It's only on the cheek where I have TMJ problems. Could the mouthwash be the cause? I also have tingling on the inside of my cheek when I'm eating.......

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain swelling and tingling of the inside of the cheek along with TMJ problems and after using a mouthwash..
Well the reason can be due to cheek bite leading to inflammation and swelling of the mucosa inside mouth..
Other reason can be formation of apthous ulcers..
Side effect of mouthwash can be a reason but seems to be less probable..
I would suggest you to apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over it..
You can take Ibuprofen for relieving pain and inflammation..
Avoid spicy foods..
Drink plenty of water and maintain a good oral hygiene.
Use the mouthwash by diluting it with water in half proportion..
In case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
