What Causes Swelling And Tenderness In The Back?

To the left of my spinal cord in the middle of my back is swollen and tender to the touch. It just randomly came about last evening. I used a massage chair while getting a pedicure so I dont know if that's what caused it or if it just made a prior injury worse.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling and tenderness can be due to an infection in the area. A para spinal abscess needs to be ruled out after a direct examination.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
