What Causes Swelling And Congestion In The Throat?

hi, I have got throat ineffection. inside my throat there is some swelling and congestion . So i could not even drink water. 1st Doctor adviced me to take AZITHRAL . After taking Azithral my problem didnt get solved. I went to the second doctor for second opinion. He prescribed me Augmentin 625. and Bidazen forte. If i take two antibiotics simultaneouly will it cause any problems? Coz i want my ineffection to be cured as soon as possible.

Hello,
Symptoms of acute tonsillopharyngitis are painful swallowing and fever.On examination of throat congested throat supports your diagnosis.The most common cause of tonsillitis is streptococci infection,for which antibiotics are commonly prescribed.Warm salt water gargles 2-3 times eases pain and congestion.Taking more than one antibiotic is not advised as drug interaction can lead to unwanted side effects and emergence of resistant strains of bacteria can occur.Continue taking augmentin and bidanzen forte,warm saline gargles.
