Only Process of sudden Large haemorrhage ( internal or external ) or sudden intravascular haemolysis may cause a sudden drop in Hb to such extent. But it will not explain such low paltlet count.
On the other hand sudden drop of platlet count may be seen in the viral fevers such as dengue etc. But then it will not explain the sudden drop in HB.
So my opinion is that the platlet loss seen must be sudden but the drop in HB must be gradual. The repors also support the same as microcytic anemia indicates Iron deficiency anemia.
So it would be wise to look for a cause of sudden drop in platlets.
Close wattch must be kept on bleeding from any site of body, which should not be neglected.
Considering the low platlet count it is advisable to admit the patient under physicans care. Couple of tests also require to come at perfect diagnosis. If platlets counts drops further it may need platlet trasfusion too. So better to hospitalise patient unless platlet count increase.
For anemia proper diet & iv & oaral iron therapy can be satrted as per physicians opinion.
