The reason is that there might have been a tumor in the abdomen which caused the benign tumor and some of the cells were still inside after the key hole surgery. With time these cells transformed to malignancy and therefore a malignant gist was formed. The seizures cannot be ignored if she had 4 attacks. A CT scan brain is required to evaluate the brain for any new metastatic transformation. The malignant gist tumor can become aggressive and then this causes secondary deposits in other organs including brain, liver and lymphnodes.
