What Causes Stomach Ache And Pain Under Rib Cage?
My 9 year old son has ulcerative colitis. Today he has had pain center stomach above the belly button area and now the pain seems to be under his right rib cage. Could this be from the colitis. We haven t had a bout with it since he was very young.

Good afternoon. Does your child have associated symptoms like diarrhoea blood in stools?
How is his appetite? Has he lost weight recently? Does he have tenesmus or pain while passing stools? Does he have a fever? In such cases, it might be a flare up. If there are such symptoms mentioned above better show it to your doctor.
