What Causes Severe Stomach Pain,gas And Belching?

My 76 year old father went to the ER for severe stomach pains in the middle section of his stomach, from throat area to pelvis. He now has lots of gas and belching, so the DR. said they are going to do a CT scan. What are they looking for with this test?

Give a 2 weeks trial of Cap. Esomeprozole 40mg once daily before breakfast and Tab Itopride 150mg one before breakfast. Concerning his age the doctors might be thinking of intestinal obstruction and chronic pancreatitis. As the symptoms you have described they look more of an acid peptic disease rather than some serious pathology. Keep intouch with me!
