What Causes Severe Pain In Vagina?

i have hpv, and while i have had the vaccination last summer, i have recently developed genital warts. during my appt, the dr. gave me a pap-smear and ever since then, i have felt swollen internally. my appt was on monday, and i have been unable to sit or move too long without pain. it feels as though my vagina is being turned inside out. 1) could this be from the cream they prescribed me for the outbreak? and 2) my dr office isnt open till Mon, so what can i do in the meantime to relieve this pain? it often feels as though i am being stabbed with a knife in my vagina. is there anything i can do to eliminate the pain??
