Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my 4 year old son has itching at bottom of scrotum and it usually results after he wets himself by accident. I recently noticed that the bottom of his scrotum is more enlarged like a small lump since I gave him a shower today and put 1% hydrocortisone on his itchy area. this was not as large before I gave him the shower. He has in the past few months periodically had frequent urination, has not been able to release it all or would say that he had to go very bad and then when he went to the bathroom nothing would come out. I took him to the doctor a couple of months ago about this frequent urination and accidents and the doctor informed me that it did not appear medical but perhaps he was just waiting to the last minute to use the bathroom. He did not have this problem a few months ago at all and has been potty trained since he turned 3. could the sudden puffiness/lump on his scrotum be the fabric softener on the towels and his underwear or detergent: I use arm and hammer detergent and downy fabric softener. What could be causing the itching?
