What Causes Scaly And Peeling Rashes On The Butt And Has Been Diagnosed For Strep Throat?

My grandsons, ages 9 mths & 4 years both have a rash on their butts. At 1st it started with the baby, which I thought was a diaper rash but the 4 yr old also has it. It is kind of scaly and is peeling. The 4 yr old was sick with a fever and vomiting and was diagnosed with strep throat and is currently on amoxicillian

Hello.thanks for using healthcaremagic.I have gone through your history..there are 2 possibilities either it is skin infection due to streptococcal or skin reaction to amoxycillin.but 2nd is least likely..u cn wait for 24 hrs as child is on antibiotics.if u feel rash is progressing u should consult your doctor.thanks
