What Causes Rise In D Dimer Levels During Pulmonary Embolism?
I had a PE in August and my D Dimer was 0.6. I went back to the ER in january for same pain and they found no PE, but D Dimer was 0.87. I was sent to a hematologist and he did another D Dimer a week ago and the level came back 1.17. I am still on warfarin and I did have a hysterectomy in October. What could be a possible cause of the levels raising?

Despite pulmonary embolism there are other causes that rise d dimer levels such as:inflammation.and tumoral processes.
