Hi, It could be a seborrheic dermatitis. The rash in seborrheic dermatitis is dry, red, scaly and itchy. It most commonly involves the scalp. However, other sites that may be affected include chest, face, etc. Seborrheic dermatitis is a steroid responsive Dermatosis. I suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid cream e.g. either Mometasone Furoate cream or Triamcinolone Acetonide cream, twice daily for a week. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
