What Causes Recurrent Fever In Children?

my son has fever of 102.5...he say s no headache...sore neck...legs hurt some....drinking and goes to bathroom as normal....eat a little...started early this morning...4am...fever has come down with ibuprofen...but about every 4-5hrs goes back up...any suggestions thx dad

Hello. Thank you for your question. This is very common in this age group. Ibuprofin is fine for his fever. In the absence of any other specific complaints, the question is how long has the fever been going on for? If it persists after 2-3 days, even without other complaints, it's worth a consultation with your doctor. Until then, ibuprofin and hydration is the way to go.
