What Causes Persistent Fever In A 5 Year Old?

my child 5yrs male weighing 22 kg

have high fever since last 10 days tlc 6700 n 72 l 25 m 2 platelets 2.6 lakh malaria negetive widal typhi o 1:80 typhi h 1:160 positive i have given cdone for first 3 days then for 1 day agumentin then for last 5 days he is on iv drip 1 gm monoceff bd he has alredy taken larigo course and today he had single dose rezziz premaquinin but still he has high fever though duration between episode of fever has increased

Hi,... By what you quote it seems that your child has typhoid fever. Because malaria is negative and you have already given lariago. I also advice you to do typhidot Igm test it will make the diagnosis more clear. Monocef is given for typhoid only so in my opinion your child has typhoid fever and you are getting correct treatment.
