What Causes Pain In Wrist Which Extends Downward To Forearm?

Hello, I've been getting pain in the top of my wrist which extends downward to most of my forearm when i bend my hand forward. Just curious to know what might cause this. (It first began a few months ago and lasted for maybe 3 weeks, then it went away & last week it popped up again)

hi there

Pain of such nature could be either due to inflammation in the wrist joint or due to inflammation of the tendons around the wrist . It is really difficult to tell without examining and seeing the Xray .

In either case start with an anti inflammatory medicine like diclofenac for the time being .

Get your serum uric acid blood test done and evaluated .

Do not do strenuous work with the hand .

I hope my advice has helped
Goodluck .
