What Causes Pain In The Throat While Swallowing?

I have had a sore throat for almost a year. It doesn t feel like a typical sore throat. Last year I had two TIA s and medication was given via IV to stop any permanent damage, but every since then my throat hurt, mostly on the right side when I swallow more neck than throat. What could this be?

hello, thanks for your query, Tia can have residual effects ,having nerve injury during stroke which is responsible for swallowing mechanism. u need to be evaluated for any infection or residual injury of ur stroke. kindly visit an ent surgeon. all the best. take care.
