I m scared I have liver cancer or failure at the great age of 17. None of the pain is serious. I have this little dull pain in my abdomen below the end of my rib cage. It s not consistent but every now and then have a little back pain and I hear this wired gurgling noise coming from my stomach a lot. Went to the doctor and the physical thingy was good and I m waiting for my blood test results. In mid August I web through a week were my whole body felt week I had crazy back pain. Went to the doctors 5 time in a week driving my parents crazy (thank god for their jobs health plan) they all say I m fine had a little high blood pressure cause I m worried. Is it liver problems or am I just worrying my self to death. I also can hear my pulse or heart beat in my left ear for some reason and when I may down I get this weird sensation around the middle of my chest a mid stomach. That s comes and goes. Srry this is so long hope some reads it

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you do an abdominal ultrasound and liver enzymes like SGPT and SGOT, total bilirubin, GGT If they are normal there is nothing to worry about.

Gurgling sounds are uncomfortable but they are generally a sign that your intestines are working well. In some position is normal to hear the pulse. Do not worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
