What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In My Vulva Area?

I have IC and back in November I underwent a hydro distention and since then I have had burning and throbbing off and on in my vulva area. I was seen in emerg and was tested uti and it was negative and doc treated for yeast infection. No luck. Went to my family doc and she didn't believe it was a yeast infection. The pain is bad and hard to cope with and I was wondering if it's possible that due to the 2 cystoscopies and the numerous catheter treatments if there is a possibility of damage done to the urethra ? Thank you
