What Causes Nausea Just Prior To Bowel Movement?
I was diagnosed with Crohn s disease 3 years ago. I am taking 2400 mg of Asacol HD daily. I ve noticed in the last month I will get the urge to have a bowel movement and get extremely nauseated and then after my bowel movement I am fine. What could cause this?

Hello,
Nausea or vomiting may be due to gastritis or ulcer disease.
Many other causes like side effects to mesalazine drug or any intra abdominal inflammation.
Use tablet pantoprazole. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use tablet ondansetron mouth dissolving before defecation.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
